Cotton shawl-collar sweater in stripe

I was trying to create an outfit I saw on here with a womens stipe cashmere sweater without breaking the bank, and got this on clearance for $20! Its perfect because I got it slightly oversized for my small frame so it fits like a boyfriend sweater! Totally perfect with shorts for a winter walk on the beach!

I bought this in the navy background with white stripes. It's a thick sweater so not good for warm weather. It's stylish and looks like top quality. It is a true medium.

The sweater has a nice and elegant style to it, but the threads are damaged on both sides. Absolutely disappointed.

I finally bought this sweater a couple of weeks ago, and though I am pleased with most aspects of its quality, weight, style/design, I have some concerns about its overall longevity in retaining its shape -throughout the day, over time- and its slightly generous waistband. The fabric and texture are good, but it drapes a bit more than expected. The cut seems to fit well in the shoulders, arms, and chest, but the waistband itself doesn’t quite hug one’s waist as expected as it is not cut like a more traditional crewneck. Perhaps that’s an error on my part it is not designed to fit in this way. A remedy to this issue could be to go with a(n) oxford shirt underneath rather than a t-shirt in order to stay more presentable if/when it looses its shape and drape a bit more as some cotton sweaters tend to do throughout the day. All in all I’m still pleased (due to its texture, weight, and nautical inspired design) and willing to take a chance on this masterpiece -at least for now.

like all things J Crew, this sweater is just amazing quality. it is my favourite and go to sweater. No regrets.

True to size fit and would love if it was available in a few other colors, Grey, black, etc.
