Customers really enjoyed the classic cut, polished tailoring, and versatile style of these wool pants, noting that they work well for both professional and casual looks. Several customers suggested checking the size chart and even sizing up or down, as the fit can be a bit inconsistent from one pair to another. flattering pants!
June 22, 2023I'm not always this excited to wear yet another pair of black pants but these are fantastic on! A bit on the long side (perfect w/heels), flowy but fitted at the waist . I'm 5'6" 130lbs slightly proportionally bigger thighs and butt, smaller upper body -ordered my usual 4 in these. The vertical seams down the front adds some interest and structure. I would definitely order in more colors if available.

Not great if you've got hips.
February 3, 2023I ordered these in an 8 and a 10 -- I usually size up for suiting because it has very little give. The pants I received had less than 1/4 of an inch difference in the hips (which even in the 10 are more snug on me than I'd like) and virtually no difference in the waist (both fit). I ended up keeping the 10's but will probably be reselling them and finding a better option.

Highly Disappointed, Sizing Extremely Inaccurate
January 25, 2023I have been purchasing from J.Crew for years and this is by far the most disappointing experience I've ever had with the brand. My usual size in J.Crew pants is 00. I have several pairs from over the years that I wear regularly. I understand there can be slight variation in sizing depending on the fabric and style of the item, but these pants are WILDLY inaccurately sized. The item description indicates the item runs large. Customer reviews were kind of all over the place but several said the pants are true to size. I ordered my regular size of 00, figuring they would either be a little big or fit perfectly, as these were final sale. These pants are SO SMALL I can barely get them over my butt. I can not fasten them. They are unwearable. As I said, I have never been more disappointed in a purchase from J.Crew and am highly skeptical about continuing to order from this brand.

Beautiful fabric, size up
January 19, 2023I should have heeded the reviews! But first the fabric is gorgeous and if they fit they are a keeper. I bought my usual size 10 but they were two sizes too small. Interestingly enough I purchased the pink trousers in a size 12 and they were big - so sizing on these are way off or not made for curves.

So small , so sad
January 19, 2023I am a size 2 or 26 in almost every brand. The website itself says these run large, so I ordered my normal size 2. They are incredibly tight in the waist and hips and upper legs, although they are intended to be slouchy and cool. They COULD have been amazing pants for me but the sizing is off and they are now sold out in all sizes except 14 and 16! I wa willing to buy the larger size even though the size 2 was final sale. So sad so mad

January 11, 2023These are amazing! Feels like a throwback to old J. Crew quality - wool, lined, impeccably tailored. I plan to buy more in case there's ever a run on these. I am usually a 10/12 & went with a 12 based on the lining & no stretch wool. Easy to dress up or down for work - just wish they had matching blazer options as the black doesn't match other black wool JC blazers I have. The only critique is extended sizing - I'd love to see these offered in a tall to have the option for heels. I'm 5'7" & can only wear these with flats/kitten heels without letting the hem out.
