Cashmere diamond Fair Isle sweater
Born on the Shetland island of, you guessed it, Fair Isle, in northern Scotland, this special knitting technique has since gained fans in everyone from après-skiiers to holiday-party attendees. This version of the classic style comes with tri-tone patterning and an easy, classic fit, plus chunkier, ribbed trims at the collar, cuffs and hem. We're proud to support responsible cashmere production through our partnership with the Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF), a nonprofit that promotes sustainable agricultural development across the globe. As the foundation's first U.S. member, we source cashmere that is certified to the AbTF's The Good Cashmere Standard®, which ensures the welfare of the cashmere goats, protects natural resources and improves the working conditions of farmers and farmworkers in Inner Mongolia. Plus, this sweater was crafted at a Fair Trade Certified™ factory that provides additional income and better conditions for the people who work there.

Gorgeous sweater
April 3, 2025The perfect cashmere sweater! The blue colorway is so gorgeous and I always receive compliments. It has quickly become a go to favorite in my closet. I got a medium, but I could’ve gone with a small since it’s a bit boxier. I tend to size up in cashmere sweaters in case they shrink so I’m very happy with the medium I purchased. I’m a 34DD for reference too.

January 20, 2025I love JCrew's cashmere, but this is probably my favorite one. The Fair Isle design is so on trend this year. This is a thick cozy sweater that you don't want to take off. Very high quality. Get it on sale if you can.

January 13, 2025I have this sweater in both colors, that’s how much I love it! Perfect fair isle print, proper cashmere weight, fits to perfection. Like I’ve said about the brushed cashmere sweater, I hope J Crew keeps it up with the high quality cashmere and beautiful styles.
