Knee-high riding boots in leather

Very nice boots. I had to size down 1/2 a size. They are slightly snug across the top of the foot but not uncomfortable and think it will stretch as it breaks in. They seem well made and look so nice. It’s not cold enough to wear yet so I’ve only tried they on and walked around in them for a bit around my house but they seem very nice.

5’0-85lbs-11 1/2” calves. Purchased my usual size 5. The boots are casual mat finish leather, semi-structured (slight slouch iif more fitted around calf), standard footboard width. 14 1/2” shaft height and 14” circumference. The quality fits the bill. Roomy, but not oversized like other riding boots.

Although these are great looking boots made with high quality leather, the sizing seems off. I normally wear a size 7 but ordered these in a 7.5 so I could wear orthotic inserts for better arch support. And yet they were too tight! Also the right boot was much more narrow than the left, which is odd since my left foot is slightly larger than my right. So sadly, I am returning rather than exchanging them bc I think a size 8 would be too long.
