Cashmere crewneck sweater shell

Wish I could have bought one in every color. Love love love it

This is a perfect medium-weight cashmere shell. I usually wear a small in J Crew tops, but went with a medium on this because I didn't want it snug. For reference, I'm 5'3, 115 lbs & 35-28-35. Love J Crew's "loftier" cashmere!

This is a very soft shell and perhaps if you are a delicate person, who treats her clothing with the utmost care- buy this! It is the perfect color gray and very soft. I would not have dry cleaned this item, had I kept it, and my feeling was the neckline would stretch out or not lay flat after being hand washed. I also ordered this to use as a vest, not a shell. I ordered a medium, my typical size for most clothing but only my size in J Crew (tops) when people say this “runs large”. With a very thin t-shirt underneath it fit but I had no wiggle room if it were to shrink. If I were wearing it under a blazer, dry cleaning it, a medium would’ve been the right choice. This shell is far more delicate than any of J Crew’s cashmere sweaters I’ve purchased.

I am seeing reviews saying this runs TTS, runs really big... I was confused. The heather gray I ordered WAS very large- I could size down 1, or even 2 sizes. Maybe different colors are sized differently-?? But it is very soft, thinner than the cashmere pull on pants I ordered. But I am going to try a smaller size bec I love a good shell and I love cashmere anything.

I read all the reviews and was convinced I needed an XS instead of a Med, but it did not run large. It was super snug so now I need to re-order it in my correct size! Nice quality and the grey color was good.

This looks great under a blazer and I'm sure will look nice without a blazer in the summer. I'm 5'3" 120 lbs 34C and the XS fits great. It wouldn't fit a shirt underneath in an XS.
