Reliving my 90’s
March 18, 2022I didn’t have jeans in this wash and I love the slouchy boyfriend cut. This is more snug than the Paulette but I am sure that has to do with the color/dye. The Paulette is looser at the waist, hips and zipper line. So, the Rachelle feels like the more fitted version. I am not a fan of tight jeans, so I cannot help but be in love with the entire slouchy BF line. I usually wear between a size 2-4 (5’3” 117lbs)

Let's talk about FIT
March 18, 2022After so many disappointing J.Crew purchases of late, I was almost dreading receiving these jeans. The reviews I read weren't overly positive, but the jeans were on sale so I decided to risk it. Well, guess what! They are really nice quality and the fit is good... if you get the right size. I'm a 26 in J.Crew jeans and a 27 in Madewell, the sister company. So I bought these in 26 and the fit is just fine. Now, I like my jeans slouchy, so I don't know if this sizing discrepancy applies to skinny jeans and the like. I hope my experience will help someone out there -- I've derived such great guidance from other J.Crew reviewers !

UNCOMFORTABLE!
March 3, 2022Sorry, these jeans were so high waisted that I couldn't wait to get home to take them off, so that I could breathe! The leg was bulky and wide and very unflattering. Stated as a mid-rise (when they are not) and NON- RETURNABLE is unfortunate. Maybe someone at Goodwill can make them work; I can't, I found them to be the most uncomfortable piece of clothing ever.

Great Jeans
March 1, 2022I agree with the review that mentioned these pants are more high waisted than the mid-rise description. Not super high rise but higher than mid. I am 5'6" 116 lbs and bought the 25 for the true to size slouchy fit. Loose but not overly baggy. I also purchased a 24 for a more fitted fit and love them both. The wash is lovely and they are a comfortable 100% cotton. Gently stiff, not cardboard stiff.
