Collection quilted Barn Jacket™ in high-shine satin

Honestly, I can't believe this one is still sitting here with plenty in stock and on sale at 50% off the already discounted price. Yes, it is a "barn Jacket", but this one takes a casual jacket to "it's okay to wear a tiara to a farmer's market" level. I have two different J. Crew barn jackets in this color, but I just couldn't pass on another version, and I have zero guilt for owning a third! The quilted satin is superb and offers enough structure that it is elegant and not flimsy like other quilted coats; the collar is almost a Peter Pan collar when the jacket is buttoned up completely, giving it a polished look; the pockets are perfectly placed. Also, I am an hourglass, and this one seems to be cut slightly more figure flattering. Taking it to London with me in October, and it will carry me causally from day to night. Grabbed LG, and fits perfectly. Could have done XL for a heavy sweater, but glad I didn't. A lot of thought was put into this one!

My rollnecks from the 1980s are still presentable. When I finally donated my 1990s pantsuits (all with lined pants!), the labels were shot from years of dry cleaning, but the clothes looked barely worn. JCREW quality and timelessness were rock-solid. And despite more recent disappointments - instant holes, pilling, the epidemic of cropped tops/jackets/pants - I keep coming back because of things like this jacket, which I will wear into the ground. It's perfect. Get one while you can.

Great jacket. I am a sucker for this green and the shiny fabric is different and luxe. I have the navy one from a few years ago. I bought a small and it fits well- 5’11’ 145 lbs.

Great mid-weight coat filled with recycled Pimaloft (which made me happy). The high shine satin gives it a degree of chic that’s really great for elevating a casual, classic style - could def wear with jeans or cocktail attire. Not bulky like a regular puffer. Slightly oversized/relaxed - I ordered my regular size (I’m a 10 or large in J Crew) since it looked pretty slim-cut and I’m an hourglass, which will be fine for layering over a sweater, but I could’ve sized down for a more fitted look as well. No regrets buying final sale.

I was traveling in NYC and needed a jacket to keep me warm. Miraculously, the store had this luxe barn jacket thick enough to keep me warm during the cold spring evenings. True to size - I wear US 6, the material feels very sleek, the fabric is thick and stiff enough to last time, it has four pockets: two hidden traditional pockets for the hands on the side and two front pockets to hold any important items. I'm happy and really glad I got them at a higher discount price in-store than what online is showing.

I bought this on a whim…because who doesn’t love a chic quiltie. It’s warm, yet lightweight & the color is fantastic. I sized up (M) bc I wanted a slouchier look, but also bc the stiffness of the fabric (in the front) in the smaller size made for weird creases and it took away from the coat.
