Awkward Shape
December 5, 2016I was excited to try this jacket because I saw that other women had luck with wearing it. I am usually 12 or 14 in sweaters, so I tried the XL. Unfortunately, the shape of this jacket is just too awkward. You can kind of tell from the picture, but it completely erased my shoulders. This is due to both the lack of shoulder shape in the jacket and the relatively large collar. The sleeve openings are also quite large, and would likely be uncomfortable and let a lot of air in. I loved the quality and the look of it when I wasn't wearing it, but unfortunately I will have to return it. I still give it 4 stars because it isn't meant to be worn by women, and I would recommend it for kids due to the quality.

Perfect for a petite woman!
November 21, 2016I LOVE this jacket! I had been looking at Barbour jackets for years but couldn't bring myself to spend $400. I ordered this one in an XL and XXL and ended up keeping the XXL. I am 5'2, 110lbs, and 30ddd. The XL fit me but was a bit snug when I wore multiple layers underneath, so I ended up keeping the XXL. It hits below my hip and covers my bottom so I can wear it with leggings. It is definitely less fitted than the women's Beadnell, but it still has the classic Barbour look. The jacket isn't particularly warm on it's own, but it is very water proof and wind proof, so with layers it can keep you very warm--it was around 30 degrees here today and I was plenty warm in this jacket, a painter tee, and a cashmere sweater. I would absolutely recommend this jacket!

PERFECT Fall Jacket
October 29, 2015I am completely in love with this jacket!!! Although it was pretty pricy, it was definitely worth it, as the material is very high quality and the jacket goes well with most anything. Every time I go out wearing it, I get many compliments. Definitely would recommend.

Flexible, weather proof & stylish jacket
November 16, 2014This particular Barbour jacket is the perfect weight for transitioning between seasons - spring to summer / summer into fall. An extremely flexible piece of clothing to dress up or down; also there are no superfluous details that are bothersome ( such as blaring obnoxious logos, non functional pockets etc...) Quality of this jacket is superb, fit in general is great although the collar span/ shoulder can be a bit narrow for wider shoulders...

Jacket will last forever...
September 11, 2014This is a great little jacket that my son started wearing when he was 4. First one he wore for 2 winters in Vancouver with maybe a down vest underneath during some colder days. Otherwise this was perfect for short walks in the rain, running outdoor errands, etc. The only thing is that the hood is kinda ugly so I never put it on the coat. Hood can be purchased seperately. He just wore a waxed cotton ball cap, also made my Barbour, on rainy days instead of ball caps for shade. Buying the Bedale this year as it seems to have seperate and tighter cuffs to keep out the rain and the wind. This can be passed down and used for multiple children or maybe even saved and put away for your child's children... Craftsmanship and design are EXACTLY like those of an adult's Barbour coat. Love it!
