Red Wing is a family-owned brand based in Minnesota named for the town where the founders have had a family cabin for over three generations. It's also synonomous with some of the hardest-working footwear out there. In the 19th century, Minnesota's Mesabi Iron Range was the site of a mining boom, and miners needed boots that were sturdy but comfortable enough for a long day's work.
