Mad for plaid!!!
January 7, 2022I love this shirt. It's not what I expected but I love it. The fabric is thin but perfect for under a blazer. This will be in my winter wardrobe for many years to come. Not sure that I would have been willing to pay full price. I'm 5’5”, 140lbs, 34DDD size 12. This shirt is slim fit. Oversized I wear a JC size 4.

Shockingly thin fabric
January 6, 2022For a blouse at this price point, one would expect the fabric to be fairly substantial. While the styling is lovely, the fabric is incredibly thin, almost film-like. Held up to the light, the light shows through. Fortunately, my bra isn't visible, but I still feel like I want to wear a tank top or camisole underneath, it feels that flimsy. Such a shame, because this is otherwise an elegant blouse. It's also a very slim fit. I usually wear a 10 and had to size up to a 12, and it still gaps significantly between buttons at the bust. I'm busty (34DDD), so for a slim fit, I expected it to be snug, but not this snug. I'm keeping it, however, because I bought it at 50% off full price, final sale, so I don't have a choice. Once I lose the extra holiday pounds and Covid weight, by next Christmas, I should be able to wear this more comfortably. Had I known now how thin the fabric was, though, even at 50% off, I would have given this a hard pass.
