Could be great depending on your work environment
1 week agoGreat fabric and high quality construction. I did return these as a matter of preference. I just felt like it teetered right on the edge of too immodest for the corporate environment. If you sit with your ankles crossed, there’s a big gap between the center of the slit, which allows folks to see up the skirt. It’s a little better when you cross your knees, but then the slit feels a tad too high in a work environment showing too much thigh. At the end of the day, I did like the skirt and could see it being really nice for non-work events.

Great work skirt
1 week agoSize up in these for a smoother look. But I always get compliments. The length is conservative but the slit makes it sassy. I have it in three colors!

Beautiful design, tight in chest
1 week ago[5’4”, 136 lbs, 34G bust] I bought this dress for the office (and occasional date night) in size 2R (black) and 4R (pink). Beautiful silhouette, beautiful details, nice fabric. The cut of the dress matched my waistline and bottom curves very nicely but was obviously too snug. I couldn’t fully zip up the size 2 due to my large bust. The v-neck and darting on the size 4 cut into my chest around the nipple line, creating a simultaneous dent/stretch. In the size 4, my bra was sometimes slightly visible through the armholes (even though they weren’t gappy) and the round underbust stitching did not frame my breasts — I bulged underneath it. I will be exchanging for a size 6 or 8 and tailoring the bust and shoulders. I will definitely keep the black. The pink is very pretty; black undergarments are slightly visible through fabric. (Note: I don’t know what my true J.Crew size is, so I’m sure this dress probably fits TTS…just wanted to share my specific sizing issues for my body shape.)

5’4” but don’t go the petite route.
1 week ago[5’4” and 136 lbs] I bought this skirt in black and blue in size 4-Petite replace my No. 2 & No. 3 pencil skirts that sadly no longer fit. When standing up, the skirt fits my body like a glove and made me feel svelte (like the model in the photo with the black skirt.) But when sitting down, the crotch of my panties is visible through the slit and you get more of a model-wearing-the-blue-skirt vibe (where everything is gaping open and a bit crass.) The slit is way too high, so I will be exchanging for a size 6-Classic. Not sure this is a forever wardrobe item due to the style, but the fabric was pleasant to the touch. (Note: I don’t know if this skirt runs small or not; I chose size 4 based off my too large size 8/10 #2 skirts and think I just overshot it.)
