My perception of "sage" doesn't match Barbour's
July 22, 2024The jacket is great, if you think "sage" is "charcoal so dark it might as well be black." I was thinking "sage" is the modern-day "olive," but alas, the photos are pretty accurate, and this is just a hair lighter than black. Returning it, sadly.

Barbour Wax Jacket is a winner
April 5, 2024I bought this jacket in November 2023 and it has served me well in both urban adventures as well as my life in Colorado's mountain environment. I really like its weather proofness and wear it everywhere. It wipes clean if you do get some dirt on it and the pockets hold all my necessities. I like that it has that Burke & Wills look to it without all the weight (I have a Pathfinder coat from them, too). It is light and comfortable. It's a little snug in the arms when I reach for something, but that is with a sweater underneath. Otherwise, I grabbed it the minute I saw it and tried on all the sizes. I am very happy with it.

Balfour 40th anniversary jacket
January 12, 2024We could not wait for our kids to grow big enough for this life long treasure. We have had our Balfour jackets for over 20 years and could not love them more. They even look better now vs. new. Our son is now an owner of the 40th anniversary all season jacket with liner and wears it regardless of season!
