Ruffle-front midi dress in cotton poplin

I have this dress in the navy and it's beautiful - classic midi with the right amount of frills! I agree with the majority of reviewers - you will need to size up. For reference, I am close to 5'7" and about 138 pounds, small chested and the size 8 was perfect for me, especially on top - it wasn't too snug for me. There is a zip at the side of the dress where the chest/rib cage is and I can see it being an issue if you are larger chested. I am typically a 6 or 8 in liberty tops depending on cut. You will need to steam iron this dress as it is cotton and will wrinkle.

Thought I should write a review as a size 0 since that's all the sizes left. I am only a 30C chest (size chart says 33 for 0) so I have a bit of room in the chest area, but I'm glad I matched for my correct waist instead, because I can always wear a more padded bra, but can't change my rib cage. It also looks fine if I just keep my shoulders back and stand properly! I'm also 5'4 so the dress is a bit long on me, it goes much lower than the mid-calf, almost to my ankles in fact. But that just makes it feel even more like an old-fashioned dress! When I put on the beautiful orange dress, I instantly knew I was from some previous era, and now I want to wear dresses like this all the time! Worth the purchase and the risk.

I do agree that the chest fits little tight but the overall fitting is good. Good length and sleeves with collar.
