March 24, 2026I originally bought the beige sweater jacket thing that fit like a bathrobe. Hated it so I ordered this poncho in a similar color for a 3rd layer for travel. Out of the package, it was lightweight, a beautiful color and well-made. Also soft and I liked the proportions. After one, singular wear, it began pilling. I bought a similar red one from jcrew a few years ago and wore it almost an entire season before I had that issue. This one seems to have an earlier expiration. If you don't want to frequently wear it, this is likely a great purchase for you. I will continue to wear it but it's not as sharp as I would have hoped based on my previous experience with JCrew cashmere.
