Stiff and scratchy compared to other J Crew socks
February 21, 2021I have purchased many new pairs of J Crew socks this winter and have been very happy with all of them. But these are not at all soft in my opinion. They are very stiff and scratchy and too uncomfortable to wear with boots or sneakers. I got them as a final sale so cannot return them. So I will wear them as nighttime socks and enjoy the lovely colors (pink and lavender) and warmth that way.

Good, but tight at the top
February 19, 2021I've had these socks on for only about 10 minutes, so this is my impression from wearing them that long. They seem to fit my approximate size 8 feet well. Above the ankle the sock is pretty long. That would be fine, but the band at the top of the sock is too tight on my leg, even when the socks are scrunched down. I was in need of some warmer, comfortable socks for this colder winter weather, so I ordered these. They fit the bill pretty well, but I will probably end up cutting into the band to make sure they don't leave indentations in my leg. For reference, I am 5' 5.5" and about 150 lbs, somewhat muscular, especially in the legs. I liked the ones I bought from J.Crew several years ago better. They may have actually been sold through a partnership with another company J.Crew had. Those socks did not have a band at the top, but rather were straight through the top. These will probably be more for wearing around the house.

Love these socks, very comfy
January 26, 2021I love these socks. The green is particularly nice and uplifting. I usually try for a mostly cotton sock but made an exceptional here. I don’t know how they would be on someone with ‘small’ foot size but I am around 9 1/2 and they fit well.

Please Bring Back the Version from Previous Years!
January 14, 2021I bought a few pairs of these this year thinking they'd be the same as ones I'd purchased previously from J. CREW. They're not. They are way too long and as a result are awkward and uncomfortable. I hoped washing and drying them would help tighten them up but no luck. The fabric is not as warm either. Pass on these for this year.
