Halter top in violet plaid

This was the worst fitting top I’ve ever purchased from JCrew. So disappointed! Weird neckline! Cut the stitching to see if that would help because it was a final sale item. A bit better but would not recommend this at all.

During 100-degree summer weather, halter tops are the best. It's tough to find a halter top that doesn't look cheap/single-colored. This one is such a winner! The fabric is adorable and timeless. The ability to tie in a neck bow is great. And size-wise, my usual Small was perfect. (I'm 126 lb, 5'5, 36B) It fits exactly as a 100% cotton, comfortable halter should fit pre-wash. Highly recommend!

The halter top is very pretty and very well-made, but also very large. Because the item is a final sale, I decided on a large instead of medium. Unfortunately, the large is falling off me and gapes at the sides - not optimal for a halter. . . I should have ordered a small.

I love halter tops! So difficult to find cute, crisp ones and this is both. It's not surprising they have not sold any - whoever is styling the models these days is going a bit too far off the mark - dreadful look. I am 5'11" 135lbs, Acup - usually a size 4. I ordered a small. It's very long (which is preferable to the everything-must-be-cropped look for me as I am over 50) It is also quite wide. It was a final sale item so will try and have it tailored but it has a side zip so I will most likely spend more on alterations than I did on this piece. I think an extra small may have been perfect.
