Zoe ballet flats in Italian patent leather

I got these on sale so I'm not terribly upset but these are very uncomfortable and pretty low quality. The first time I wore these, not for very long, they cut into my heels and made them bleed. They still are not overly comfortable for long wear (which is the point of professional flats in my mind), both in the heel and the vamp. As others have noted, they're not leather but canvas with shiny patent on top and due to this, pucker around the rounded toe. It's also started to crack. The knots at the end of each tie have come undone so they are very frayed, looking terrible. I've owned these less than two months and have worn them 2-3x a week so pretty disappointing.

I have always loved JCrew shoes and had to have these in the pretty pink and blue colours. I just received both pairs and they are not at all what the quality used to be. Both pairs appear to be extremely wrinkly when I put them on - they look like cheap plastic shoes. They also fit a bit smaller compared to all my other JCrew shoes. I am so disappointed.

The pink ones are awful. You can't tell from the photo but in person they are extremely shiny and look like cheap plastic children's shoes, not the lovely soft pink shown in the images. It's hard for me to believe that they're leather as they seem like obvious plastic. The opening is tight and rough so would probably be an issue for walking far. I should have known better than to order something final sale. Surprised by the good reviews but perhaps the other colors are better.

I was so excited to wear my new Zoe ballet flats in Italian patent leather. They are comfortable and fit great. After one time wear one of the shoes was wrinkled on the top. I am so disappointed because the shoe looks defected. I didn’t expect that from J. Crew quality.

I really like the nude patent leather shoes. They are comfortable and dressy looking. I can’t wear any heels so I’m going to wear these with dresses this summer.

I am a long long time jcrew customer and have ordered jcrew shoes for years. I'm an 8.5 and normally fit as expected every time. This time the flats were a wee bit small, so if I could return, I would, for half-size up.
