Poor fitting, inaccurate material description
May 17, 2023As other reviewers have stated, these fit very poorly. Mine measure at 8.5 inches inseam (1 inch longer than advertised), and flare out significantly for a very poor fit. The material is heavier and scratchier than I expected, and upon further inspection I found that the tag says the shorts are made of 80% cotton and 20% hemp fibers, not 100% cotton as described on the website. Overall unhappy with the fit and the misleading fabric composition. Will be returning immediately.

High quality but terrible fit
August 19, 2022These seem like very high quality shorts with sturdy thick fabric, however these flare out around your crotch and essentially look like they're designed to be worn over a big diaper. I guess this fit might work for some sort of 1920s style but they look awful in my opinion. Waist size is true to number and consistent with other Jcrew sizing.

Wide shorts with unflattering flare
August 3, 2022These shorts don't fit like the images. I didn't want super slim shorts, but these flare out significantly and unflatteringly at the bottom. I won't be wearing them. They're also a bit thinner than expected.

Pale Wheat not as vibrant
July 22, 2022The Pale Wheat color is not as vibrant and warm as the picture. The color has more black/grey mixed into the brown making for a flatter dark khaki color. Other than that these are solid shorts. The fabric is thin and light with a smooth hand feel. Stitching it a little sloppy in places with loose threads and places where the stitch went too far and doubled over previously stitched areas.
