Great alternative to more expensive options
March 5, 2020Fits true to size. Go down half a size from your sneakers. For the price, you can't get any better than these pair of Kentons. Break-in is not too bad either. Very versatile boots that you can easily dress up or down. Scuffs a bit easily but I personally think it adds a lot of character to the boots. Easily one of my favorite purchases in the last year or so.

Great boots
March 4, 2020These boots do run large. I read the previous reviews and ordered down a half size. My son loves them.

Great so far
December 30, 2019Very stylish. Soles a little slippery in the rain but they’re brand new and I think (hope) that will diminish as the sole gets scuffed up a bit more. They were VERY stiff and uncomfortable the first day but softened up quickly, which is great. I’m happy so far but have only worn them 4 times so it’s a bit early to judge.

Dollar For Dollar The Best Deal Out There
December 24, 2019There are other similar boots out there - some fore twice as much - but without a 360º Goodyear welt or lug sole. For my money these are better from the point of view of comfort, construction, price and looks (the last used by the Kentons is more refined and less clumsy in appearance than the other boot I have in mind). Get yourself a pair before they're gone.

Affordable and comfortable stylish boot
December 14, 2019These have very thick leather and a beautiful style. The insole is very soft and forms to your foot over time. Because the leather is so thick, breaking them in took about 3 weeks of regular wear and leather conditioner, but they are even more comfortable now once the side panels form to your ankle shape. I get compliments from random strangers and I got them in both black and brown to go with everything. The sole has good traction in the snow. If I have one complaint, it's that the non-gusseted tongue tends to slide over to one side, but this is minor and doesn't affect comfort. Get your real Brannock size at a shoe store. I had read that they run large, which is NOT accurate. They are as close to "true to size" as I've seen. The toe is slightly tapered, so don't make the mistake of getting a smaller boot as your feet won't have enough room. The Goodyear welt means they are more water-resistant and have the option of being resoled many years later. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
