May 23, 2017Purchased the navy color, which is a very dark navy/almost black. Runs TTS; if you're in between sizes, go w/the smaller size for a tailored look. The Rhodes style is similar the discontinued Schoolboy blazer. Both are classic wardrobe staple pieces that you can wear for a lifetime. Please make this in other colors such as gray, camel, olive, garnet and soft pink/nude.

Lovely Lilac: My Favorite Blazer
March 25, 2017While I understand that this piece isn't working for some of the reviewers and there were expectations not met, this is my best fitting blazer and that Lilac color is so yummy and so versatile--especially for someone who has a lot of navy already in her wardrobe. For me the wool is the right weight--not to heavy for someone living in California; the gold buttons are an attractive compliment that make the blazer look finished and expensive. Like me, I think some buyers will find this blazer a perfect addition to the closet. I highly recommend--and now it is on sale!

Beautiful fabric and fit
March 25, 2017I love this fit. The schoolboy...as much as I wanted to love it, it wasn't flattering on me at all, so I've never owned one. So if you're looking for the schoolboy, this is not it. This cut hand nips at the waist just right, and it's a perfect length for me. I do have a slightly long torso and am full busted. I usually wear a 4 or 6 but I took this in a 4. I think J.Crew hit it out of the park with this one. I don't understand why people think the material/fabric is cheap. It's a very nice textured woven wool, it has a very nice drape, a soft hand, and is smooth to the touch. Fuzzy wool blazers look cheap to me, and this is not fuzzy. I also love the cerise color. I could do with some more subtle buttons, but its not a deal breaker.
