U-front bandeau bikini top

I love the color and the style. I’m normally a size 2 dress, 34b, and this top fit on the tightest latch in size small. I think an XS would’ve been perfect for me and wish I’d ordered in that size instead. I didn’t have time to exchange it before our vacation as I’m sure J Crew would have easily exchanged it.

I liked the style and fit but (1) the bandeau keeps folding over at the top and needs constand adjustment, (2) it is not secured at the U ends and the fabric slips off, (3) the seams inside are poorly finished, and (4) worst of all, it develeped multiple holes in the lining in the first week of wearing. Waste of money.

..if you work on the quality control in sizing! I bought the belvedere red in small last summer (2017) and really liked the style (a more supportive version of your old school basic bandeau top from early 2000s.) So I ordered the top in the bistro blue in small, too. However, after I wore the red one to the beach, I realized that the boning didn't really hold its shape and the top wasn't fitting well. This was disappointing. Thinking I'd misjudged this bandeau, I intended to return the yet unworn bistro blue top at the end of last summer, but didn't get around to it. Flash forward to this summer and I pulled out the blue top. It fits great! Boning does it's job and, interestingly, the "size small" in the blue is at least two sizes smaller than the "size small" red when I set them side by side. The strap is over an inch shorter and the cups are, too. No wonder the red didn't fit me that well... no two items tagged the same size are actually the same (or correct) size at J Crew anymore.

I'm very flat-chested (5'6"/110 lb/32A) so this top — which probably fits those with curves, based on other reviews — does NOT work for me. IBTC members steer clear.

I am a 34B and got a small. It fits perfect. I am not constantly pulling it up, no sag. I will definitely order in other colors!

Search no more...this is the prefect basic bandeau! I have been searching all season for a new bandeau & this is it! Great quality and fit, there's light padding, not too much. I am small on top and this works perfect for me!
