Too heavy for SOCAL
February 19, 2022At 5”2 I ordered the medium petite. This jacket is so heavy and the collar is so big/wide that it swallowed me up. It’s much too heavy for SOCAL winters. I had to send it back. I did like the length and color. Hoping a lighter version of this will pop up.

70s Dream Coat Vibes
January 28, 2022I love this coat so much and I'm so glad I took a chance on it. I was nervous ordering it final sale but it exceeded all my expectations. It is true to size and I had no problems with excessive amounts of fabric. For reference I am 5'9" and 155 lbs, curvier on bottom and I typically wear a J.Crew size small. I love the big fold-over collar that can also be turned up and keeps my neck and cheeks warm. The Adobe Clay color has the most gorgeous champagne-colored satin lining and the whole thing just exudes retro chic style.

Wonderful fall/winter run around coat
December 25, 2021This coat looks good with casual or somewhat dressier outfits. I like the touch of the soft Sherpa fabric. The stand up collar has an appealing & classic look.

Unexpectedly cute!
November 25, 2021I was in the JCrew store today and decided to try this coat on. I liked it so much I ended up buying it! It’s very comfy, and the fit is oversized, I think it was designed this way. I bought my regular size 4 - 2 fit, but the fit felt a little off.

Depends...
November 7, 2021Whether you like this coat or not depends on several factors. I thought I was going to love it but unfortunately ended up sending it back. The fabric is very high quality so no issue there. But I was expecting soft and cuddly and instead got kinda scratchy and stiff. The fabric is also pretty thick so it will be warm but because of this thickness there was an issue where the zipper seam falls across the chest area. When closed it looks like there are only buttons but there is also a full zipper along the opposite chest side. When zipped it creates quite a line of bulge that I did not think was very flattering. Also it is a stand up collar that is two layered in the front and creates quite the heavy stiff funnel neck. I did not care for this either and I usually love this kind of neck. If you leave the coat open then there is a lot of extra (again very thick) fabric laying across your upper chest. I just thought the coat was not designed very well for such a thick, stiff fabric.
