Collection tailored trench coat in double-faced plaid

Absolutely love it! I got it as a gift for myself when I got promoted and I feel very put together and professional when I walk into the office (or anywhere) with it. With the tie I can cinch right at my natural waist. Great medium weight for spring, fall, and milder winter days. The material does wrinkle easily, but I'm just being careful with it and taking it to the dry cleaner every once in a while, it's so worth it!

I have been looking for a classic trench for years and finally found it! This trench is beautifully made with quality materials. I took a chance and ordered a size 2 even though I usually buy only petite sizes. This fits perfectly apart from the sleeves being a bit too long. However, because I have a JCrew card, the alteration was free! I know I will get a lot of wear out of it. Love it!

WOW! This trench coat is actually spectacular. I have been looking for a nice and simple khaki trench coat for months and I couldn’t find one that I liked. I didn’t want a trench with buttons, or for it to be too long/short. This trench meets all my requirements. I’m curvy and 5’7” and the length hits me around my knees. It’s super flattering and doesn’t make me look bigger or anything like that, it has a bit of shape which I really like. The material is super thick so I know it’ll last. I got a size 14 because I like to wear layers for the winter weather. I recently wore it with this J.Crew cashmere fair isle sweater I bought and received lots of compliments. I swear I have been sleeping on J.Crew because I never had anything from here since I thought it was all older women clothing but geez they have surprised me. I highly recommend this trench coat, it’s super chic and will be in my closet for years to come. Hope they make this exact style in black, navy or other neutral tones too.

This coat is beautiful. The cut and design is super flattering on my body, the material is substantial, and the lining is also really pretty! I wouldn’t wear this in a snow storm but it does feel thick enough to wear even in winter. I only wish it came in other colors. The color is not as bright and creamy as I thought it would be. It’s a little darker/grayer than the photos.

Love the quality of this coat, but I’m 5’5” and the sleeves and overall length are too long on me. Because of the (beautiful) lining, I don’t think I can get this professionally hemmed—and at almost $350 including tax, I don’t particularly want to pay for tailoring. It breaks my heart to send this back—please make a petite version, J.Crew!

The craftsmanship is above and beyond the price point. The design of the coat is simple and streamlined (no buckles at the cuffs, no buttons down the front). The attention given to the lining, the quality of the fabric, the stitching, and the double-faced fabric elevate the coat to suggest it to be a higher-end piece. The pockets lie perfectly positioned so they don’t add bulk or flare at the hips, maintaining a slimming silhouette from the front, back, and from the side. The cotton fabric is durable but not awkwardly stiff; I can bend my arms freely and the fabric drape is flattering in different positions. The fabric also holds its form; it doesn’t immediately crease or wrinkle. The sash belt keeps in place well (I’m not having to constantly re-tie it). The color is a very neutral khaki; neither warm/creamy nor cool. The color is slightly darker than the photo. I wear a size 0 in J.Crew button-down shirts and the size 0 coat fits perfectly.
