Beautiful Dress
2 weeks agoBeautiful dress in lavender in a medium weight cotton fabric. Thick enough to not require nude bike shorts. The sizing is really big (thanks to the reviews online I got the right size) so I got a XS (5'2"; usually wear a size 8/M). Was afraid that the dress would be too long but it hit perfectly at the ankles. The smocking hits under the bust, creating this empire waist of sorts that goes well with the boat neck and the full skirt.

Beautiful Dress, but Sadly Too Large
June 25, 2026I bought this dress and it was beautiful. Unfortunately, it was too big for me, so it didn't fit as I had hoped. I was very disappointed because I really loved the style. I hope J.Crew will have more dresses in stock in the future so I can order a smaller size.

Beautiful fit, shape and color
June 25, 2026Such a cute and comfy dress, easy to dress up or down, make it casual, dressy. I ordered the brown one and it’s such a nice color because it has a hint of purple that makes it look really nice and flattering on many skin shades. I only found it in XL and was afraid it would be too big but it wasn’t, with a push up bra it was a nice fit to my big chest area (36 DD), the waist area adjusts very well and the ample skirt makes it so comfortable and flattering for many shapes. It’s not lined, wish it was, but the fabric is thick enough and it’s not see through at all. I am thinking about getting the lilac too.

June 15, 2026Great dress, wore to the office and got a lot of compliments. Runs large, I’d suggest going down a size. I ordered the brown and the color looks like the photos. Also has pockets!
