Versatile skort

Needed to Size Up
January 14, 2026I bought my typical denim size in Jcrew and found this to run much smaller than expected. I like the colors and style but I had issues with the sizing and the way the skirt lays. Perhaps because it fit a size too small, but you could see the shorts on the side opening and that didn't flatter me. I like skorts, but I don't want to look like I'm wearing a skort. This made it very obvious.

Very cute!
November 16, 2025I was hesitant to purchase because my size (4) was out of stock and I'm usually pretty consistently a 4 in J.Crew. I ended up ordering the 6 at a great sale price and figured if it doesn't work I can give it to a friend. I got the dark wash. It is ADORABLE. While a smidge big I think it actually works better, perhaps because the skirt part can lay better vis a vis other comments about it not sitting right? I did not have that experience with this. The skirt does sit a little lower on me but it's also very comfortable. I am in my mid 40s so I remember wearing skorts back in the day. I really love and appreciate the quality on this one.
