Essential chino pant in 770 straight fit

Jeans in 36 x 32 fit perfectly, the chinos were too short and J Crew won't take them back or replace them

Loved the feel of the material..true to size although they may have shrunk a little after the first wash/dry..hopefully they wont fit too short...not that daring to wear short pants. ;)

I thought these would be a straight fit with a normal leg opening like my J Crew chinos from past years. Waist is fine. The pants might be straight to the thigh but the calf down to the ankle is very narrow - so narrow that the cuff hits where the top foot meets the leg. I'm an adult and it just looks silly. They must be styled for Brooklyn hipsters or their types in other places. Bought them final sale so I'm thinking of converting them into shorts. The chinos I received are not something you can wear to work in a professional environment on casual Friday or any day. It's possible I received something not representative of the 770, who knows. Anyway, not what I expected. 2 stars given because the quality seems fine, no complaints otherwise.

I am tall and thin. These pants are cut perfectly for me. I have always loved J Crew chinos but the 770 feels even better than my old favorite, the Classic. Nothing makes me feel more confident and comfortable than well made clothes that fit.

I like slim fit clothing, but not tight clothing. The difference best seen in the difference between the 770 and the 484 pants. I had purchased a pair of the 770's last year and thought that they had fir perfectly. However when I got these new ones, despite being the same size, they seemed to fit me much tighter. I was also disappointed to see that all signs of the buttoned anchor on the inside of the pants are completely gone, which is not a good sign of quality.

Comfortable stylish and great fit. No 'bagging' at knees after wearing. Not my first purchase from J.Crew as i am prepared to pay that bit extra for good quality fabric and thus far i have been more than satisfied.
