Saint James® adults' Meridien II nautical T-shirt

This is such and adorable shirt with the quality I have been dying for. However, if you have a smaller waist and hips, it will look ridiculous on because it will be skin tight around the hips and then super baggy at the waist. It is designed for men or very narrow hipped women so it will hang correctly. I also thought that the sleeves rang long and were not a functional 3/4 length. Again, designed for a taller man. I will return it and wait for JCrew's women's version. I just hope they use a nice thick fabric like this.

This Shirt/Sweater is well made and warm. I wear this with a t-shirt underneath and it keeps me warm on brisk Autumn days. Come evening, throw a blazer on over the top with some jeans. You'll look relaxed-classy.

way way way too big... Not sure what to reorder as far as size.... I cannot get to the store as I just had surgery so maybe you can help me to return this and get the right size... But love it...

I'm quite a slender woman with wider shoulders. I was very surprised when I received this as it looked nothing like the photos. I'm normally an XS in J Crew clothing so I bought the XXS for a fitted fit. It fit me perfectly around the torso, but the arms were incredibly large. I could almost fit both arms into one sleeve! It was not what I was expecting at all, as it doesn't appear to be nearly this oddly proportioned in the photos. Such a shame as it is excellent quality and a classic staple piece to have. It's just not a good fit for anyone who doesn't have an "athletic build". I can see it looking great on many people with the athletic build though!

I was so excited for this to arrive and I am so disappointed! The fit is so strange! I ordered the XS upon reading the reviews and learning the XXS is child sized. The arms are gigantic - I could fit three of my arms in the sleeve. The body is somewhat more fitted, but not fitted enough to be cute and not loose enough to be slouchy cute. The color is NOT white. It is ecru like another reviewer mentioned. The tag says white, but it is mostly definitely not white. Returning immediately.

Just a warning to you all, this thing shrinks a ton! I'm usually in between a medium and a large so I ordered a large. I tried it on and it was a little too loose, as expected. I washed it and put it in the dryer for only about 10 minutes trying to get just a little shrinkage but that was too much. I can't even wear it anymore. The length is just too short now. I gave it to my girlfriend and she uses it as one of her "around the house" shirt. It's really upsetting because I love the style and material. Now I'm reluctant to order a replacement because I don't know if I'll be able to get it to the right size. My advice - order your normal size, wash it and lay out to dry. Don't use the dryer on this one! Good luck!
