Perfect Fall Sweater
4 days agoBought this for my boyfriend, he’s 6’2 and ~215lbs and it fits perfectly. I was between getting a L and XL and the XL fit perfectly!

Fits true to size
Inaccurate photos of color and style
4 days agoI was eager to receive this purchase as it was wildly discounted, I was able to apply a $30 "birthday credit" J Crew had emailed me, and I'd been looking for a cotton sweater with a worn and faded appearance Not only did the photo of this sweater in "Heather Royal" blue fit the bill, the fact that it is a rollneck added to it's appeal. While the fit is ideal, the color is remarkably unlike the photos. This sweater is of a brighter blue than displayed and has zero fade or worn appearance. The photos that accompanied this sweater display a gradual fade from a very matte blue to a light matte blue around the rolls of the neck, sleves, and bottom hem, as well as a splash of fade around the chest. Absolutely NONE of that appears on the sweater I received; the sweater is mono-chrome blue brighter than the photo J Crew posted. I'm a professional photographer who has a long career shooting off-product fashion and I've worked for Land's End, Crate and Barrel, and many other catalogues, so I am very aware of the rigor such companies place on the accuracy of color. This failed miserably. I gave it one star because it fits well and with all the discounts, was remarkably inexpensive, and I'll wear it evenings I plan to spend outdoors. But I'm so disappointed as, again, the photos displayed the exact sweater I'd hoped for - and more - yet what I received is a sweater I would not have considered had I seen it in person.
