484 Slim-fit stretch jean in Whitford wash

Bought a pair summer of 2017. Loved these for 2 years. still love them. Caveat* if possible try on in store because sizing in legs and waist isn't the most consistent. I doubt it's from others trying on. But once you find the size that works these jeans don't quit. If you have muscular quads or glutes try a waist size up and it should be great. If you don't they are a true waist size fit. ps. Would buy 5 more pairs in various washes. J. CREW please bring these jeans back. They ARE perfect and durable

For me, with regards to fit, JCrew jeans have been hits and misses--simply because the symmetry always seemed off: The thighs are tight but there is so much waist room, or vice versa. However, this particular jean, which I conveniently found in a store--in size 28/30--is perfect! Waist size is 'true.' I'm a slim guy, and when just trying it on without a belt, the jeans did not sag to where I'd deduce as 'vanity sizing.' The crotch area's has enough space, but not so much where it has a 'protruding look' because of excess fabric that hangs lowly. What's more, the seat is perfect because it did not give my rear the appearance of diaper butt. The thighs felt as true as JCrew's no-longer-being-sold "Essential Chinos." These also washed particularly well, though, follow the care instructions. It's very stiff at first, but softens up after a couple of washes that contoured more to my body shape. This is now my favorite pair of jeans.

Love the 484’s, however this 33x34 fit more like a 34x34. Seems to run a little larger in the waist. Also- the color is not nearly as Light as the one on the model...the color in the second picture is the true color
