Classic leather belt with removable silver-plated buckle

I love this belt with everything,,,the mat brown finish on the leather makes it compatible with jeans and chinos on up to flannels.

Things you use every day become a part of you, so, after 10 years of wearing it almost every day, I was bummed when I lost this abroad. In that time, the leather never aged a day, and yes the clasp scuffed, but eventually this gave it a nice vintage patina that looked great with jeans. The clasp mechanism held up well (though I had to fix it with pliers once after 7 years), was easy to use (though it always confused others who were trying to remove it haha), and the thinness makes it super comfortable. Overall, a beautiful, buy it for life design and construction. Shocked and excited I can still buy another. Here’s to another decade!

I bought two of these in black. XL for size 38 waist and L for size 36 waist trusting the sizing listed. I received the belts, they are nice but WAY too big. The L fits a 38 waist well, but is about 3.5” too long for a 36 waist. I’d be happy to buy another but they are out of stock of the medium in black now. Very very disappointed. Make sure to try on belts in store if they refuse to provide detailed length measurements.

I had this belt before from the factory store and loved it. For some reason I can’t remember I had to replace it and got the one from the non-factory store. The silver on this disappears just sitting in my closet. I swear I put it in there and then go to wear it in a few weeks and more silver is missing. I have no idea what is happening but it’s disappointing. Really like the belt but it’s not made well.

It is way much smaller than you might think from the picture! Not sure if size matters, but I suppose size be the length only.

I've owned both colors of these J. Crew belts for several years. They're my every day go-tos, no matter what I'm wearing. They'll pair with jeans, chinos, dress trousers, suits, even shorts. The brown one works with every shade of casual brown or tan shoe, boot, or trainer, as well as darker brown dress shoes. The black goes with my black loafers, white trainers, navy or gray espadrilles, anything not brown. Can't go wrong. *The one thing I find a little annoying about these belts is that the silver-plated buckle jangles noisily when fastening and unfastening. Otherwise, no gripes whatsoever.
