Women's 1988 rollneck™ sweater
iconic styles from years past—and since we love a good throwback, we did. The rollneck sweater was first designed in 1988, and we've given it a few modern tweaks—like a slimmer fit and longer body—that are absolutely perfect for right now. Poor Quality
October 3, 2019I have never written a review before and I am disappointed to say my first review is on a J. Crew product. I have loved this brand for many years and I have stayed loyal to it because I believe in the products they produce. However, I recently purchased this sweater in two different colors and I am already noticing wear and tear. I have only worn each sweater about two-three times and I take extraordinary care of my clothing. Yet I have noticed the material around the neck and the sleeves of the sweater beginning to fray drastically. The sweater appears very cheap. I am hoping that this does not speak to a current quality issue at J. Crew. I warn all other shoppers of this issue and the poor quality of this item.

Great Sweater!
September 23, 2019I love this sweater. The only thing about it is I would order a size down. I got the XXS when usually I am an XS. For reference, I am 5', 110 lbs

Welcome back!
August 1, 2019I love this sweater. Comfortable and fits well. Don’t love the coral color but that is just due to my coloring.

Disappointing
July 23, 2019I love the style of this sweater, however, the quality is very inferior compared to the original sweater when it was first offered. The workmanship is really poor with the stitching coming undone on all my recent purchases. The rollneck also needs work so that the roll goes completely around the neck.

The Nicest Sweater I’ve Ever Owned!
July 16, 2019Unfortunately, I was not around when this sweater initially released, but when I saw the re-release of this sweater I desperately wanted it. There was one huge issue, though: the price. I didn’t think I’d be able to justify buying a sweater for $80, so I waited for the perfect sale. That sale finally came last week, and I was able to purchase my sweater for basically nothing in the color I wanted (Pink Blush) AND the size I needed! It was just too good to pass up, and I must say that I now understand the hype. Per the title, this is simply the nicest sweater I own. It’s really thick and really soft, which will be perfect for colder days. I am 5’2” and 98lbs, and I purchased a XS which was the size suggested to me. It is slightly big, but oddly enough it still compliments me well without being bulky. Also, the Pink Blush color is so beautiful in person. I can’t wait until it get cool enough for me to wear it!
