Not as expected...
June 22, 2020I was disappointed in the cut, quality and fit of this top. It is very short. I purchased the gold color and it was a little costume-ey. Never wore it, gave it away.

Good tank top at sale price
April 9, 2019I got two of them in my local store at a clearance loooow price. I have been a jcrew customer for 10+ years, but still not quite sure about my size. According to size chart, I should have bought everything in size 2, but depending on style, my best fit would be from 00 to 4. This tank top, I bought one in size 00 and one in size 0. Size 2 would be too boxy for me.

Armpit holes a little claustrophobic
March 13, 2019Quality is pretty good, and I will certainly get some wear out of it. However, my main two issues with it are 1) the armpit openings are a little small/tighter cut than I prefer and 2) the lining shows out from underneath the velvet layer depending on how you tuck it or wear it. I am a petite person without big arms so the arpmit opening issue is probably not 'just me.' I have a few other J Crew shirts cut like this (boxy, non-stretch fabric) and they too have the same tight armpit issue (will be avoiding this style in the future). No, I don't want to see my bra through the sides of the shirt, but I'd actually prefer a too-loose cut in that area than too tight. Overall it is a cute top and I will get wear out of it, but I can see why so many of these ended up in the sale section. It IS crop top length btw, not a belly button exposer, but will hit top of high waisted pants.
