What customers are saying:
Many customers loved the shoes’ elegant, modern design and versatile style that works well with both formal and casual outfits. Several highlighted the comfortable cushioned insole and refined cap-toe detailing that contribute to a polished look. While many found the overall fit to be true to size and comfortable, a few suggested trying a different size if you have wider feet or a different foot shape. Overall, the shoes impress with their stylish design and quality construction, making them a solid choice for special occasions.

Stylish Shoe
August 2, 2019Purchased these shoes as I liked the style of the modern cap-toe. Price was good and leather seems good so far. Pairs very well with blues and greens. I purchased both the Burnished Sienna and Maple finishes.

Exactly as described only better in person
July 18, 2019I bought this pair of shoes online and when I received them they were exactly as described, only better! From the minute you removed the lid from the box, your nose will be hit with the scent of quality leather. Solid construction, and beautiful color. The fit was perfect, and the shoes look great with dressier pants or casual jeans. I am very happy with this pair of shoes.

Poor quality
July 12, 2019I really like the style, quite elegant and modern. Purchased these in black to wear with my black suit in formal occasions. However, the quality of the leather is very poor. The finish is dull and appears scuffed in some places. The soles are intact, which makes me believe that the scuffs happened during assembly/packaging. Also, the detailing is quite poor, looks like someone slapped it together rather than employing craftsmanship to produce this shoe. One would expect a higher end product, especially at this price point and by the claim of Italian leather. Disappointing experience, will return asap.

Beautifully made oxfords—a tad uncomfortable
June 7, 2019The Oar strip Cap-toe Oxford shoe in Italian leather is beautifully tailored..yet my husband complains during the first 2 weeks of wearing them that they are a tad uncomfortable & stiff. (As many new shoes tend to be). True to size and true size in width. Shoe laces are a bit thin but match the shoe very well. Perfect for business wear, suits, and casual. Versatile shoe. (Difficult to comment or rate if they will break in nicely as they are relatively new).

Great looking shoe, but could be better
May 9, 2019The shoes looked great out of the box and great stitching. After wearing it for a few minutes and walking at home I noticed that the leather started to get stripes on it, I’ve heard it be referred to as “tiger stripping”. The insole cushion was comfortable. I ordered a 9 in Maple but found it was still too large for my feet. Im not sure if an 8.5 would fit better however, but it might break in over time perhaps. I’m regularly a 9.5 D/E on the brannock scale. Ended up returning it.

Underwhelming but comfortable
May 1, 2019At the retail price — and even if purchased with a substantial discount — this shoe does not represent a good value. While these cap toes are very comfortable and are constructed on a modern, sleek last, the overall quality of the leather is middling. My pair in burnished sienna is dull compared to the photos and does not approach the quality of calfskin dress shoes priced similarly or less. Despite a perfect fit overall, the right cap toe itself has creased, indicating a lack of structure. I would not recommend these shoes relative to other options on the market in this price bracket.
