November 25, 2020Only doing this because first time purchasing a pair of jeans from J crew and made my decision based on the reviews so it was only right for me provide one as well. Looks like these going to be my new favorite pair of jeans. I’m a happy camper

Slightly big, maybe size down?
September 30, 2020Material is thick enough for winter jeans, so not good for summer. This is the Fall 2020 version, each year fabric changes, often for the worse. Maybe a little big with all the stretch. Rise is very short, I feel. If you have a butt it feels like the pants are pulling my underwear down in back when I sit down or lean over. But if I hold my pants up with my hands and then do some squats it seems to stretch out the butt area so that it doesnt do it so much. If on sale, a good purchase. Maybe size down 1. I usually wear a 33 in Jcrew pants, but a 32 is better. Length these pants maybe be a little shorter than usual, after the first wash and dry.

My favorite jeans
September 27, 2020These jeans fit perfectly and the fabric is supple and comfortable. I find the color goes with a lot of my other Jcrew tops I have. I think they will be my favorite jeans for this autumn and winter seasons.

Huge size fluctuations depending on pair!
August 27, 2020I've ordered this item "J5242" several times. Some pairs (from December 2019) fit like my other 770s from the past 5 years, but the last two pairs (from spring and summer 2020) are about 20% more baggy in the calf area and easily three inches longer in the leg. These look a bit sloppy and kill the tailored look of 770 jeans I've come to love over the past 5 years. If your pair says"jcrew/jeans" on the leather tab know that this pair will be baggier and longer than the pairs with the leather tab that says "jcrew 770" despite both having stretch and being listed as the same item. I've washed and dried these recent pairs several times on high heat but they are still way too baggy. As they were final sale, I'm stuck and am kicking myself for ordering the third pair lol. Not sure why jcrew decided to change the fit of the 770. I do miss being able to order pants on a whim and reliably know they will fit. Maybe I should try the skinnier size... Is the 484 the same as the old 770?
