Relaxed trench coat in nylon

High function trench. Gorgeous flattering color, luxe tech fabric is just what I needed- slides on easily over my wool blazers, doesn't bunch up, and is a polished wind breaker in addition to raincoat. It will add a light layer of warmth for the many days of the year when a coat over a wool suit is just too much heat and bulk to cope with in a cab or bus. The reactions "why did they photograph it with a belt" are totally understandable, but frankly for me a belt is more often in the way than useful. (I end up tucking the ends in the pockets, or tying them behind me.) I'm thrilled -- was supposed to be a Christmas present but it's really too good to wait for. A Coat- and a Color- for all seasons.

This is a beautiful coat, but take a look at the picture in the campaign with Tracee Ellis Ross...she has a belt tied around her waist. Doesn't exist! I ordered twice thinking that the first order was a mistake. Customer service was also confused about whether the trench should have a belt. Clearly, it doesn't because my second order had no belt. I would have kept it, but it's too straight and boxy without the belt. So disappointed. Change your description of the trench, J. Crew!

Received this today. Color and style are lovely. Oversized fit. Fabric is a little strange- nylon. Biggest disappointment is that there is no belt which is weird since it is shown belted on Tracy Reese!?
