Carolyn cardigan in polka-dot merino wool

This cardigan is very versatile. It can be styled so many ways. Great quality as always with Jcrew. I had to size up because it runs little small.

I wanted to love this, but ultimately the quality fell short. I was excited to see a polka dot cardigan in such great colors. But two factors resulted in me returning it (even after purchasing it on sale). First, it runs small. The sleeves are short and so is the torso. I had the same thought as another reviewer that the sweater seemed to be a kid's size (for reference, I'm 5'6 and weight 115 lbs, and my usual XSM size was tiny). Also, the sweater is extremely thin. I live in AZ, so lightweight sweaters are fine, but you can literally see through this one. I was worried the material was going to pull or tear if I brushed up against something or fall apart after cleaning.

I like wearing this alone or under my fall leather jacket, which the polka dots are a great contrast to the leather (I bought the burgundy color). The material is thin so great for warmer fall days. I ordered a small and it is borderline too small (I wouldn't mind the sleeves bieng a bit longer) but it didn't bother me enough to size-up. I am age 57, 5' 7", and 110 lbs.

I concur it fits on the smaller side. Size up if you want more … This piece is a fun favorite- soft and made well - perfect pop of color and contrast. Wear it to office or for an elevated weekend look with jeans. This will be in heavy rotation all year round for me. Great find!

I purchased this last month and get so many compliments when I wear it. I love that it lightweight and get be worn alone or you can add a t-shirt underneath for more warmth. I usually wear a size small, but went up a size so I could add the shirt underneath.

It's a cute style and true to size. The fabric is soft though not super thick — I got it on sale and felt it was reasonable quality for the price. I'm pleased that the dots seem to be printed rather than painted on, meaning they don't have a weird texture.
