Chic chambray top with a provenance
December 23, 2018This is the only ladies' option that even comes close to my husband's fantastic JCrew chambray shirt. I love it. It is chic and comfy at the same time. Cut slim to the body, compared to the usual boxy JCrew fit. Long enough in the torso (JCrew tops are often too short in the torso for people under 50). The only negative is the shoulders are cut narrow (typical for JCrew tops). That is a design flaw and causes diagonal strain/folds from outer shoulder down to center chest. You can see it on the model photo, but it's worse when the shirt is buttoned up higher. It is worse for anyone like me with wider shoulders, or larger bra size like some other reviews. To fit the shoulders, I had to size up to 4 from my usual 2, which is a shame because the 4 is boxier on the torso. That said, it is a fantastic shirt. As for fashion provenance, check out the opening prison scene in the movie Dolomite :-)

Essential shirt
September 23, 2018The perfect complement to pale skinnies, under a heather sweater, or as a seasonal transition over a T. Better quality fabric, smooth and drape-y, the perfect blue. Not too boxy, closer to this 36C, 5’2” body. A shirt you’ll appreciate having.
