I fell in love with these shirts as soon as I saw them, and I waited for them to go on sale. Even on sale, they cost more than the regular JCrew shirts, but the Thomas Mason fabric is very long-fibered, smooth cotton, slightly heavier than regular poplin. The serged seams were ugly and a major detractor from the overall fine quality (most JCrew shirts have French seams). For the price, you would expect the same quality of construction found in cheaper JCrew shirts. I bought Faded Violet (lavender) and the pink stripe; both fit generously, but not sloppily, in my usual size 6 (I’m a 32D). The pink striped fabric is slightly translucent, but the lavender is opaque. Both shirts look great after ironing— very crisp. The shirt tails are long enough to tuck.

I got 2 of these shirts on sale - the cotton poplin pink stripe and the heavier dark blue chambray. Pink is a flattering color on me, and in the poplin I ordered my regular size 10, which fits fine. Beautiful, well-made shirts.

I'm all about the fabric and this was soft cotton. I didn't find the quality of the cotton superior to the one in JCrew's regular cotton shirts though. I'm 5'10", bra size 34C and usually wear JCrew's size 6 shirts so ordered 6 in this one. Sleeves were short and the shirt was tight on the chest. The style was quite boxy and overall unflattering (as in too wide on the sides and back). At $250 this shirt is too expensive to have any shortcomings so it's going back.
