Faulty shoes
2 weeks agoI was really excited when my J.Crew Boston Clogs arrived — they looked exactly like the elevated, timeless shoes I’d hoped for. The leather was beautiful, the silhouette was classic, and they felt comfortable right out of the box. On first impressions alone, I could see why these are popular. However, my enthusiasm didn’t last long. Within one week of normal wear, the rivet that holds part of the shoe together popped off. That wasn’t just cosmetic — it affected the structure and fit of the clog. For a pair of shoes at this price point, I expected better quality control and hardware that can withstand everyday use. I’ve owned clogs from other brands that held up much longer with similar wear, so this felt like a disappointing flaw rather than bad luck. It’s a shame because the design and comfort are great — it’s just hard to overlook a construction issue this early. In summary: 👍 Stylish and comfortable 👍 Great first impression 👎 Poor hardware quality — rivet failed within a week 👎 Not what I’d expect for the price I love the look, but durability matters. I’d caution anyone who’s planning to wear these frequently — hopefully J.Crew addresses the quality issue.
