The perfect dress for work

Good in concept, poor in execution
2 weeks agoBelt is weird and doesn't seem to be of good quality - metal buckle is a bit awkward to look at and use. Dress was a bit shorter than expected, and I didn't realize it closes via a hidden metal zipper. The zipper looks sturdy and seems like it would last but it is substantial and much heavier than the lightweight dress fabric. I'm not sure how this would hold up in the wash, especially since it's a wool/poly blend. Side note: Jcrew, please consider bringing back 95-100% WOOL workwear!).

Not the best
October 13, 2026Ended up returning this one. Not a fan of the "lightspun wool blend" as it just feels like a cheaper version of the wool blend in other JCrew pieces. Also the belt here is so weird? Only way to describe it is like the seatbelt on an airplane. Would've been much better with a regular belt.
