Kenton leather pacer boots

I've had these boots for a year now, here are my impressions: Pros: Sturdy, substantial, and well made. Cons: Leather is noticeably lower quality than Allen Edmonds / Red Wing, etc. Overall: at full price, I'd go to AE / RW, but at the sale prices these boots frequently see, they are an outstanding value. The leather is not the highest quality, but it is not terrible either. It takes some markings from normal wear which I happen to think looks great, without being permanently torn / damaged. I also think using leather conditioner a couple of times in the first few months significantly improves the look, feel, and durability of the leather. Highly recommend at sale prices.

I have had the Kenton cap toe boots for three plus years and love them. They have worn well. Grabbed these when I saw they finally made them with the white contrast stitching as my older Kenton Cap toes have. One note the toe box on these are narrower so I went up a half a size from the Kenton cap toes. Snug at first but the leather is thick/quality so they will break in.

Like another reviewer said these boots are substantial. The leather is thick but flexible to walk in. Probably the ankle will take a little time to break in. Definitely has a rugged work wear feel to it, however these boots are surprisingly slim on for their style. Love everything about them. Fit is perfect. Comfortable right out of the box. Like other J Crew shoes/boots I've bought the laces are a little cheap but that's about it.

Excellent quality at an affordable price. The size is right, but the shoes fit like gloves.

Was looking for stylish well built boots and these don’t disappoint. Craftsmanship is impressive!

I have many other Kenton boots from JCrew, this pair looks great and I need to wear them more as the leather is more stiff than the other boots that I have. I think they are made in a different place. So far I would recommend them.
