Fits small based on
5 customer reviewsWhat customers are saying:
Customers consistently praise this blazer for its soft, high-quality fabric, beautiful drape, and flattering, feminine cut. It’s also noted as running a bit small, so sizing up may be the safest bet for the best fit. Many customers like the polished look, whether worn buttoned or open, and appreciate the deep navy color and tailored feel. Overall, it seems like a stylish, well-made piece that adds instant polish.

Blazer lacks structure
November 29, 2022I have been collecting JCrew blazers and suits for over 20 years, my closet is full of them. However I was disappointed in this blazer as it lacks the quality that Jcrew has been known for. Yes the blazer is very soft, but there is no all over lining in the inside and because of this, it doesn’t feel like a blazer. When I wear it it feels like I am wearing a sweater, not a structured blazer. If I had seen this in the store and tried it on, I would not purchase this. Since I ordered online and it is final I am unable to return it.

Sizing up gave beautiful fit right out of the box
October 8, 2022Based on other reviews, I elected to buy a size 8 rather than my usual size 6. Because my local store did not have this blazer but had the Devon blazer in stretch wool, I tried on the stretch wool version to gauge what size to get in this blazer. The stretch wool version barely ran small, if at all. I ended up relying on the other reviews rather than my fitting, electing to size up. I am glad I did. My usual size would have been way too small in the shoulders and would not have draped as nicely. The blazer is a lovely, soft fabric that will be warm but not bulky during winter. The blazer looks great buttoned or unbuttoned. I often feel that double breasted blazers make me look bigger and bulkier than I already am…not the case with this one. The fit is quite feminine. In the attached picture, I forgot to button the inner button, which is why the inner panel was not lying flat. Fastening that button gives a smooth drape of that lapel and panel.
