April 9, 2024I bought this in "black" and it is not black. It's a very dark teal. It's warm, fits well, stretches a bit for comfort, and is just beautiful. But it's not black.

The holiday velvet blazer.
April 4, 2024I was expecting a black, black. And it's not. The bluish midnight comes pretty close to a dusty navy. Other than that, it's a great J.Crew classic. Perfect fit for me buttoned up or worn open. Can't wait to wear this around the holidays.

Great fit - but NOT a true black
March 19, 2024I’ve wanted this blazer and pants combo for years! The black is not a jet black, it has a grey/blue look to it - I would have preferred a true black. The jacket is roomier than most J.Crew blazers - in a good way. I’m not sure how anyone could get away with wearing it without anything underneath as shown on the model; but that was never my intention. Hoping they release the red next year!
