Beware
March 5, 2022I've ordered this twice (both times in size 4) and each time they sent the wrong item, mislabelled, an ugly barn jacket. Then in order to get a refund I had to waste my time calling, packing it up, taking it to the post office...they weren't supposed to charge me for shipping it back but the 2nd time they did. So I will have to waste time calling again.. It's not worth the aggravation. Beware!!! If you order this, most likely what they send you will not be the item pictured here (which I was looking forward to wearing to work). It will be the ugly grim barn jacket. It will be a waste of your time, and a waste of all the plastic they ship it in. You have been warned!

One of the best J.Crew purchases!
December 17, 2021Can be worn as a light jacket for fall or spring or instead of a blazer or cardigan for work. The print is beautiful and everything about the jacket looks expensive! Comfortable and not too loose, this is a closet staple!

nice jacket runs large
October 15, 2021This arrived on a very hot October day - lately there are more warm days than cool days in the fall so I can't wear it but it is nice though it runs large. That said it feels a bit puffy and I think if you got this too large it would be marshmallow like as it has a prima loft layer giving it that "staypuft"feel.I could have gotten a size 2 ( 125 lbs 5'4'' take a 4 usually)but I can put a sweater under it.I think if you got it too large it would look like one of those quilted toaster covers.I love Liberty and I am hoping this works for chilly mornings out with the dog .Order your size would be my advice and expect it to be roomy or go down a size for a better fit.

Perfect three season jacket.
September 18, 2021This jacket is very pretty and romantic. I know the description said it is intended to be worn under a heavier winter coat, but it is still more light weight than I expected. It is good for spring and fall instead of a blazer. The cut is loose enough that you can wear a medium weight turtleneck sweater under it in the winter, which should be warm enough as a blazer substitute for most winter days in Tennessee. I have worn it several times already with the matching scarf around my neck and a white shirt. (The background on the jacket is true white, not a cream or off white.) I have received many compliments every time I have worn it. Plan to wear it with a denim shirt and jeans for more casual days. The piping is such a dark navy it looks almost black. It goes great with denim, blue, black, and gray. Best yet, it is washable!

A little more muted in person
September 2, 2021The color appears much brighter online. But this is a good lightweight layer piece. I usually use another famous brand's lightweight down feather jacket under all of my coats (it gets cold in Paris in the winter), but this year for a bit of pop under my black lady coat I may try this instead. Definitely fits true to size. At first I thought it would be tight across the shoulders, but my usual 6 fits fine. I also love that J.Crew always makes the sleeves long (only about an inch past my wrist though).
