Double-breasted topcoat in Italian wool-cashmere

Wanted to love this coat but found it ran one size too small. A disappointment because it truly is a beautiful jacket.

Impeccable quality. Classical and elegant.

I ordered the coat in regular size 8. i usually wear tops and shirts in size 6 in jcrew. The coat fits perfectly. The quality is great, though i have other coats with the same % of cashmere and they are more soft. The coat is perfect for the winter in my country though it is not very warm. I am glad i didnot order the coat in petite size.

This coat is ehhhh. Definitely not worth the original price. Not even worth the sale price of $124. The material composition states 70% wool, 10% cashmere and 20% something else. It really seems as if its 90% something else and 10% wool. The material is extremely cheap and crinkles easily. I haven’t worn it outside yet but I can tell you right now, its not built for a NYC winter. On the other hand, it is decently tailored. That’s why I gave it 3 stars.

Can't say it enough! I've been wearing J Crew for over 30 years and still love it!! I have three coats all purchased as final sales and wear them all...but it's amazing how their sizing is so snug for a coat...no room for error at all....I wanted this coat to be a little oversized so order a 12...The coat is great! I like that it is light weight and made so well. The 12 fits a little big but not as big as I wanted. I don't wear a lot of layers under my coat so it will be fine. I tend to wear a shirt or cashmere underneath and it's fine. I don't think this coat or the lady coat are meant for layering. Either way. Im happy with my purchase but do size up.
