What customers are saying:
Many customers loved the classic style, rich colors, and versatile design of this blazer, making it a must-have for both dressy and casual occasions. Several suggested sizing up since the fit in the shoulders and arms can feel a bit snug, so trying one size larger might enhance comfort and layering options. The quality of construction, thoughtful details like full lining and pockets, and the overall refined appearance were also highlighted. Overall, it’s seen as a timeless, well-made investment piece that can easily complement a variety of wardrobe styles.

Perfect GO TO blazer for office or casual.
January 24, 2022I’d been looking at this glen plaid sommerset blazer for a few months.. I decided after the holiday’s to treat myself. It was also on sale which was awesome! It appears just as photoed. It is a great blazer with a combination of colour within the glen plaid. It can be warn with virtually every/any colour underneath. It isn’t a heavy blazer either which is nice. I wish I was working in the office more often if only to enjoy wearing it. But it is fabulous with jeans and boots. I’ve teamed it up with a hoodie underneath or a cashmere sweater. I’ve received so many compliments and people asking where I bought it. JCrew does not disappoint. My favourite newest addition to my closet. Thanks JCrew!

Timeless treasure
December 31, 2021I can't wait to wear this! Versatile, timeless investment. I’m 5’ 5” 140lbs 34DDD. I went to the store and tried on the 10 (was to snug in the chest) and the 14 (was not flattering oversized). I ordered a size 12.

Runs small
December 29, 2021I am so happy I listened to the other reviews and sized up. This is my first time buying a blazer from J.Crew and was unfamiliar with fit and sizing. I’m normally a ten in shirts and jackets but purchased the 12 which fit perfectly. The color is darker than it is in photos but still very cute. It is itchy where the wool touches skin but I have sensitive skin. Pleased to have purchased the blazer on sale because I have coveted it for months.

Refined wool blazer
December 28, 2021Classic wool blazer, styled with a men’s-wear look in mind, but still providing a feminine shape. Somewhat fitted in the waist. The arms and shoulders have a slightly narrow fit, so I would advise ordering your usual size or one size up. The plaid wool is a little rough to the touch but beautiful to look at. All in all, the jacket looks refined and elegant.

Beautiful blazer
December 28, 2021I'm so glad I was able to get this blazer on sale and before they were sold out. This jacket is much more beautiful in person than it was in the photographs; the colors are gorgeous. The cut and workmanship are excellent as is the fabric. I went up a size and it fits beautifully with heavier sweaters. I love it; this will be worn a lot for decades to come; it is an absolute classic piece.

Size up
December 24, 2021This is a truly lovely jacket. I tried it on in the store which I’m happy I did. I’m 5’5” 140 lbs. I’m mostly between a 6 or 8 with J Crew jackets. 8 was an overall better fit. Arms smeemed to be about the same length in the 6 and 8. The 8 just feels and looks a tad roomier and gives me more options for layering. It is still just a tad tight feeling in the shoulders. But it’s really not a problem. I can move fine and will mostly wear it unbuttoned which helps with movement as well. The sales person said this is just how JCrew is cutting a lot of their jackets now and the only option is to size up. I even tried a 10 but that wasn’t the look I wanted. Too wide in the body and longer arms. Some people may like that though. I’m not sure I’d advise buying this “Final Sale” without trying it on first, but if you have no choice definitely size up. You can always shorten the sleeves if you have to.
