Comfy and pretty
November 5, 2021This sweater works well with high-waisted jeans and skirts. It feels soft on and the burnt orange color is lovely, perfect for fall. I'm 5 feet tall and weigh 97 pounds and purchased the xx-small, my usual size for sweaters. It's a tad small in the sense that it is cropped and best worn with high-waisted pants but width-wise is perfect.

Great for teenagers!
October 26, 2021If you have a big chest, you’ll have to wear this open with something underneath. It’s simply too cropped. It was final sale for me or else it would go back. It seriously comes down just under my breasts and I have a short torso. Also, I sized up to an XXL and could have gone up even more. It’s very fitted. Oh well. Not every J Crew item can be a winner.

October 17, 2021I purchased this in the ember color and have worn it quite a few times, always with many compliments and questions as to where I bought it. I tried to get another in the yellow color, but my size is no longer available. Wish this was still available, and in more colors. Very flattering with high-waist flare pants.

Great Retro Seventies Look - Stick to Your Size!
October 9, 2021I regularly shop at J Crew, and sometimes read the reviews before making my purchase. Unfortunately, many of the reviews for this sweater are misleading. First, the sweater is true to size, not ultra small as some reviewer suggest. Based on the reviews, I made the mistake of sizing up to XXL and got a yellow sweater that is way too big (and not returnable). I then ordered the burnt orange sweater in my regular size L, and it fits beautifully just like a short sweater from my high school days in the 1970s. The sweater is made of merino wool and is slim-fitting. It is designed to be worn with high-waisted jeans for a vintage look. Highly recommended for Throwback Thursdays. I am normally a J Crew size 14, L or XL

Extra short - very fine weight knit
October 6, 2021At a fashion time of relaxed fit clothes, I was excited about the prospect of a cropped close fit sweater. However, this sweater is almost too short on me, just brushes the top of my jeans, and I’m barely 5’1. I was hoping for a Margot weight cardigan; this is a much more delicate knit. All that said; I think it is classy and comfy.
