Winona lug-sole penny loafers in burnished leather

I agree with the previous review. These are gorgeous shoes to look at however, my regular size is far too small with the stiff and unforgiving leather, and even after a break in period I don’t think I would be tempted to wear them. I also ordered a half a size larger than my usual size but sure enough my heel slips out. I agree that if the leather were more forgiving, these would be a beautiful solid pair of loafers - I’m sad to return them both. I grew up having to break in leather loafers so I have a fairly high tolerance and wanted to love them.

Maybe I haven't worn the Winona loafers in a while and they've changed but wow are these tight! I normally wear an 11 in most shoes, sometimes a 12 if small. Ordered these in an 11 and it was a struggle to get them on. I think the tight factor comes from the stiffness of the leather. These are a solid, beautiful shoe but if they are difficult to wear, that doesn't matter. I would say they are a little on the small side overall (length, width) but not a dealbreaker except that the leather is so stiff, I don't think I could walk in them without pain. Too bad, the color is gorgeous and they're very sturdy shoes.
